Sources close to this development confirmed ProPakistani about Affan’s resignation and said that he is likely to go abroad for career growth.
Affan, a communication expert, was the oldest member of Telenor’s communication department and has headed the public relations twice for over an year and a half.
Affan has previously served Nestle Pakistan and US Department of Commerce. His functions at Telenor Pakistan included internal and external communication, corporate social responsibility and crisis management.
It is interesting to note here that Affan’s resignation has come at a time when trend for leaving Telenor is on the rise. At least two other members from the same department resigned in last three months. Aamer Izhar, VP Corporate Affairs also had resigned recently and his replacement is yet to be announced.
