The partnership will enable the customers of Zong to enjoy a unique and industry first service that allows subscribers to make payments via their Debit or Credit cards (powered by MasterCard/VISA) to avail the Online Recharge or Bill Payment option regardless of the card issuing bank.

Put in other words, You will simply need a credit or debit card, and an internet connection of course, to recharge your prepaid and postpaid Zong connection.

Simplifying service availability and establishing an alternative channel, the option is meant to introduce a fast and effective way for the subscribers to reach Zong.

Expressing here delight on the occasion, Mr. Sikandar Naqi, Chief Public Relation Officer, Zong said, “At Zong, we believe in continuous progress and innovation, which in turn means better services and facility for our esteemed customers. Through such endeavors we show our commitment towards taking the telecom services in Pakistan to the next level.”

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Taha Afzal, Head Consumer Finance, UBL, said “We are pleased to announce that UBL is the first bank to offer a facility like this and with this collaboration we have opened new avenues in the payment industry. As a merchant acquirer, UBL will offer cardholders unmatched convenience with regard to Zong post bill payment options and Zong recharge.”

Mr. Afzal also added that the most attractive feature of this agreement was that this service is not limited to UBL cardholders and can be availed by any VISA/MasterCard Debit or Credit cardholder.

Agreed with you but ZONG provides you the facility to recharge your postpaid/prepaid through any bank where as online banking only allows your transaction on prepaid. Other then this, you can use any DEBIT CARD worldwide to recharge your number. So this is One of the few difference i shared with you.

Use UBL Card This Site Require Verified By Visa And Master Secure Code for Master Card And HBL Didn’t Support Verified By Visa

  • Feedback

@mohsinmustufa:disqus Thanks. There are no additional services charges to the subscriber on using this facility other than the usually deducted Tax and Service Fee amounts on any recharge.

  • Feedback

@usmanzia:disqus Thanks Usman. This facility integrates all Master/VISA cards (whether Debit or Credit) on one Platform. With other Telcos, you need to have a valid Bank Account (and amount) and the service is restricted to only a few Banks that provide the facility of Top-Up purchase. This facility, however, covers all Master/VISA Cards (in particular Credit Cards).

  • Feedback

@9117f3490a2486bd8a8b4303db159c6c:disqus Thanks. You’ll have to contact HBL for this, as the service error you mentioned pertains to a restriction imposed by the Bank on your card.

    • Akram Abbas

      Thanks for reply.
why is this? There is actually no restriction on my card. I can use my card all other ecommerce websites without any issue. But only issue on this website. I am wondering My card is only restricted on Zong website? how is that possible?

      • feedback

@9117f3490a2486bd8a8b4303db159c6c:disqus Thanks again. Can you please give a call to your Card Issuing Bank’s helpline? They will be able to tell you exactly the reason for the restriction, if any. Let us know if the problem persists. There isn’t and there can’t be any specific restriction on the facility by any bank including HBL. The service though is dependent upon your Personal Banking Relationship.
