QMobile Announces its Second-Best Phone, the Noir V5

QMobile has just revealed a new smartphone in the Noir V5. The phone comes with 5.7 inch HD display, quad-core processor and a metallic design, which put it directly below the Quatro Z4 flagship in terms of specs and price.

The phone is also quite thin at 7.9mm. The phone comes with dual-sim support with the capability of keeping both SIMs active at once.

Under the hood, you’ll get a 1.5Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor, not too bad for a phone of this price range. The amount of RAM set is 1 GB, a full 1 GB less than the Z4, with 16 GB internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot.

A 13 megapixel camera sits on the back and does 720p HD video, along with a 5 megapixel camera on the front.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, microUSB, Bluetooth, GPS and Radio. A 3200 mAh battery powers up the phone. The Noir V5 will be available in Black and White flavors.

Here are the specs of the latest QMobile offering:

  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Metal design
  • 5.7 inch HD display with 1280 x 720p resolution
  • 7.9mm thin
  • Weight: 189.5g
  • Dual-sim Active
  • 1.5Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX544MP GPU
  • 1 GB RAM with 16 GB expandable internal storage
  • 13 megapixel rear-camera with HD 720p video capture
  • 5 megapixel front-camera
  • Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, Radio, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS
  • 3200 mAh battery
  • Available in Black and White
  • Price: PKR 32,500

The phone is available for a price tag of 32,500 PKR. That is 2.5K less than the Z4 but still enough to put it in the same league as some aging flagships from the big names of the game.

With respectable specs and a nice design though, we really believe that this phone will eventually be able to beat them easily. Just don’t hope for regular software updates.

    expensive man…

Qmobile has kind of abandoned their flagship device that is Z4, they have not advertised it nor have put accessories in the market. Literally people don’t know about Z4 although their was some publicity done for Z3

    • Azeem Ullah Hasan

They are advertising it on the internet though.

      • Kashif

Yeah but only on their Facebook page they did do some for the Z3 but nothing for the Z4. Personally i would prefer the Nexus 4 over the Z4. Nexus device so it will get Kitkat, Qualcomm processor and a ton of other features. What do you think?

        • Azeem Ullah Hasan

No I was talking of an ad I saw on another website just last night.

        • hasham2

Nexus 4 specs don’t compare with Z4 as it has FHD display and 2GB RAM

          • Zulqarnain Nizamani

nexus 4 have 2gb ram but only have 8mp camera

            • hasham2

Oh I didn’t know that but still display is not FHD, Also now we know that Kareena is going to do commercial for this device, I see it becoming much more popular in market
