Anusha Urges PTA to Make Complaint System More Effective

Minister of State for Information Technology, Ms. Anusha Rahman visited Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Headquarters yesterday to get briefed about PTA’s complaint management system and call center.

The Minister desired that complaint handling system be made more effective and beefed up keeping the number of complaints in perspective particularly to address the need of proactive search of objectionable content and handling grey traffic related issues.

Chairman PTA Dr. Syed Ismail Shah said that elaborate efforts are being made to provide hassle-free services to consumers and to resolve their complaints. He said that PTA welcomes any suggestions to further improve the whole process.

Earlier on Chairman PTA, Dr. Syed Ismail Shah gave detailed presentation to Minister about web analysis of obnoxious content and the challenges faced in this regard.

Federal Secretary for MoIT, Mr. Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar, Chairman PTA, Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, Member (Finance) Mr. Tariq Sultan, senior officers of MOIT, PTA, PTCL and TWA were present on this occasion.

During her visit, the Minister applauded the effort of PTA on running a Day Care Centre for working women creating a conducive working environment for young mothers.
