Mobilink Foundation Continues its Relief Operations in Tharparker

Mobilink Foundation has initiated the second phase of its relief operation in Tharparker to provide support to the affectees of famine in the region.

During the 2nd phase, Mobilink Torchbearers visited the disaster-hit region and handed over food and water supplies for 5000 affectees taking the total number of beneficiaries to 13,000.

Mobilink Foundation collaborated with Pakistan Navy to transport food supplies to Tharparker famine hit areas.

Commenting on the relief operation, Omar Manzur, Head of Corporate Communication Mobilink said, “Mobilink has always taken the first step in times of natural disasters in the country to reach out to the affectees which reflects our commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility. Mobilink Torchbearers were the first volunteers from the corporate sector to take food supplies to the affectees of Tharparker and are determined to continue providing support to our brothers and sisters in need.’’

In the first phase of the relief operation Mobilink Foundation in collaboration with Pakistan Navy provided relief aid to sustain more than 8,000 individuals for a period of 2 weeks.
