Arpatech Acquires the Instant Delivery Service Provider Forrun

Arpatech Pvt. Ltd, today announced the acquisition of instant delivery service provider Forrun. This acquisition is in line with Arpatech’s overall strategy to enrich its capabilities around e‐commerce, logistics and technology services.

In a private transaction Arpatech has agreed to acquire Forrun​, based in Karachi, which provides unique logistical services by capitalizing on the time value proposition, by doing user errands that may include delivering flowers, getting movie tickets, paying bills, delivering food, and providing last mile logistics around documents and parcel delivery.

Forrun’s operations revolve around location‐based data that helps match a delivery order to the courier closest to facilitating that order. Once an order is placed, all the riders that are near the location, get notified via their smartphone application or SMS. The notification has details related to the delivery, comments, signatures as well as Cash On Delivery, and electronic financial processing.

For the customer, receiving notifications via email and SMS for when the rider is enroute, and at various stages during the delivery ensures overall visibility of the delivery transaction.

It is decided that the team running the Forrun operations will remain an independent unit.

For now the operations are limited to the city of Karachi, however, with the successful acquisition by Arpatech Pvt. Ltd., Forrun now plans to expand to other cities in Pakistan.
