Mobile Phone Users in Pakistan Slashed to 114 Million

For the first time after bio-metric re-verification of SIMs earlier this year, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has finally issued the stats for number of mobile phone users in the country; according to which the figure for mobile phone users in Pakitan dropped down to 114.7 million.

All mobile phone operators lost a combined 22 million subscribers with Mobilink still heading the market with its 33.42 million subscribers.

Telenor stands at second position with 31.49 million subscribers while Zong is sitting on top of 22.10 million mobile phone users.

Ufone dropped down to 17.80 million customers while Warid had some 9.91 million subscribers at the end of June 2015.

We had heard that PTA and Interior Ministry will employ an audit firm to cross check cellular companies’ data and to make sure that all un-verified SIMs are blocked and not counted as active SIMs. But for now, unaudited stats for number of active SIMs are as following:

  • Well, whatsoever, nothing can beat ufone 500 SsssUUUUUuuuPPPPppeeeeRRRR CaaaaaaaaaaaaRD Offer, whereby all taxes (sales tax, income tax), extra charges (service charges, balance check, call setup charges, etc. etc. are removed) hence giving best package in Pakistan. Nothing can beat this offer!!!!
Make 1 billion calls not a penny will deducted in name of call setup charges.

Load Rs. 500 not a single penny will be deducted in name of sales tax, income tax.

  • Fake figures.Millions of Sims are blocked and its strange to see Moblink and Telenor User increases from previous values( before biometric verifications). So PTA Plz dnt provide fake reports.
