Waseela Bank and Western Union Sign Agreement for Home Remittances

Waseela Microfinance Bank Limited (WMBL) has signed an agreement for home remittance services with Western Union Company, a global leader in payment services. Western Union services will be available at -WMBL locations across Pakistan.

WMBL is the 10th licensed microfinance bank in Pakistan by State Bank of Pakistan under ‘Microfinance Institution Ordinance 2001’ and is sixth having nation-wide operating mandate. WMBL started its operations on May 2, 2012. WMBL serves the low income segments of the population in both rural and urban parts of Pakistan with a focus on small business owners, women entrepreneurs and small scale farmers.
