Zong recently concluded its Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP) for fresh graduates. These individuals will now be offered permanent employment who were engaged under the GTP. The highly educated youth who have been trained extensively in line with the GTP launched earlier this year, are now part of Zong’s permanent workforce.
The company held a ceremony at the head office to honour the budding talent. Addressing the ‘Recognition and Graduation Ceremony 2015’, Zong’s Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) Ms. Wang Haibo said
The Zong GTP is all about identifying and nurturing talent by providing them the opportunity to become future leaders.
As many as 88 young graduates were selected for this programme after a detailed evaluation and scrutiny on the basis of their educational competence and intellectual capabilities from 30 leading educational institutions located across Pakistan. They were then developed through a specially tailored developmental plan, designed to nurture the capabilities of each trainee.
Over the period of one year, the trainees got exposure to various departments, received off-job trainings and were made part of dedicated mentoring programs. The top performing graduates who have successfully completed their trainee period have been hired at permanent positions at Zong Pakistan.
