Digitalk, A Monthly Digital Forum, Launches in Lahore

The launch event of DIGITALK, a monthly digital forum, was organized by TEC in Lahore recently at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. With the purpose of uplifting the digital fraternity of Pakistan Digitalk is set on a path to unify all the stakeholders on a platform for sharing knowledge, experience and latest tools and techniques employed by major brands.

Mr. Zain Majid CEO, TEC delivered the welcome address and thanked Happilac Paints for supporting the cause. He also shared the plan to conduct Digitalk in Islamabad and Karachi in few months, with targeted audience and industry relevant content.

Mr. Raza Matin Business and Marketing Consultant Pakistan, Google delivered a presentation on micro moments. He stressed on the developing short yet eye catching ways to reach consumer as the focus span in this digital age is quite short.

Followed by this presentation was a panel discussion on the topic “Role of Digital in Consumer Marketing”. Mr. Kamil Saroop Khan, Head of Digital, Nestle Pakistan, Ms Uzma Khan, Head of Media, Unilever and Mr. Faisal Sheikh, COO, Mycart.pk joined to have a fruitful discussion on the topic.

The discussion revolved around significance of e-commerce, social media, conventional and contemporary means of advertising in Pakistan and shared examples of India, Afghanistan, Srilanka and in the region.  Jam packed with information and a slight touch of humor, the discussion indulged the audience as well as the panelists in an enjoyable two way flow of knowledge.

Panelists shared interesting insights about how they tackled with conspiracies and propagandas using digital media. The right time to engage in e-commerce, leveraging from social media, mobile and what not was covered in the discussion.

The attendees highly appreciated the initiative and the content. DIGITALK will cater multiple industries and a wide range of topics in the coming months.
