Pakistan Startup Cup 2016 Opens Registration for Entrepreneurs

After the successful event that took place last year, Pakistan Startup Cup 2016 is going to be held once more by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Islamabad for entrepreneurs to compete with one another.

The event is held as a means to reward visionaries by allowing them to present their business models as best as they can. It is an opportunity to identify any shortcomings in those models and work on ideas that can lead to the creation of viable businesses.

What is Startup Cup Pakistan?

Startup Cup Pakistan is an event arranged by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Islamabad for entrepreneurs to compete with one another. It is meant to reward dreamers and visionaries by allowing them to present their business models as best as they can. It is an opportunity to identify any shortcomings in those models and work on ideas that can lead to the creation of viable businesses.

Registration and Deadlines

For details and submission of your business idea, you can either visit their website or send your questions to [email protected] in order to get answers to any additional queries.

As for the deadline, the last date of submission is 6th April, 2016.

There is no fee participation. The total prize money that is going to be distributed among the winners is PKR 2,250,000.

According to official communication, workshops, mentoring and judging sessions will be held in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Faisalabad. Details about location will be provided for the same on the TIE Facebook page in the coming days.

Women entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate and 50 percent of the startups inducted into the program will be women-led.

TiE Islamabad has continued to promote Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem ever since its inauguration in June, 2008. It is backed by a team of leading professionals with up to 20 years of experience in the industry.
