Telenor Pakistan today introduced three low-end mobile handsets — including one feature phone and two smartphones — for its customers at a media event in Karachi.
According to company’s statement, new devices are named Star 3G, Smart Zoom, and Smart Max that are priced Rs. 3,690, Rs. 5,790 and Rs. 7,190 respectively.
“Ever since we started operating in Pakistan, we have aimed for empowering the society and taken palpable measures for achieving the same. While we expand our network outreach to connect the unconnected, we make the tools necessary for getting the best of our services accessible too. That is the reason why we have maintained our own devices portfolio that we keep upgrading regularly so more and more people are able to capitalize on the power of mobile internet,” said Irfan Wahab Khan, Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer at Telenor Pakistan sharing his thoughts on the development.
“Capturing more than 32% of Pakistan’s entire 3G broadband landscape is yet another testament to our commitment toward facilitating 3G uptake by providing best-in-class and affordable internet services to all. We stay committed towards building an ecosystem to advance internet growth in the country,” he added.
