Its been 2 years since “Vision 2025” came into being. The vision dictated goals for the government to achieve in the next 10 years to be globally relevant in terms of economy, sustainability and various other criteria.
Young Development Leader Award 2016
The Ministry of Planning Development & Reform has announced a Young Development Leader Award for the second anniversary of Vision 2025. The reward will be given to those that have made considerable contributions towards the achievement of the goals mentioned in Vision 2025.
“On the occasion of the 2nd Anniversary of the Vision 2025, we are recognising outstanding Pakistani development leaders, who have demonstrated exemplary performance with high impact in the fields critical for realisation of the Vision 2025 goals,”
The fields mentioned are:

- Energy
- Arts and Culture
- Agriculture
- Health
- Engineering
- Information Technology
- Community Service
- Entrepreneurship
- Industry
- Science and Technology
- Innovation and Social Sustainability
How to Enter
If you think you have made a contribution towards Vision 2025 goals in the fields above, then you can head over to www.pc.gov.pk to download a nomination form. You can also nominate someone who you think has made significant strides is the available categories.
Nominations are accepted with a citation of no more than 200 words. Additionally the age limit for the nominees is 40 years and participation of minority citizens and females is encouraged.
