Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Govt’s official website was hacked by a group of Pashtun hackers earlier today.
Right now the link to the website kp.gov.pk is not working. The website has been restored as of now and can be accessed normally.
The hacking group calls itself the “Pasthun Cyber Army” and criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan. PTI is the ruling party in the province.
The message by the hackers on the front page said,
Imran Khan’s Government in KPK is a joke. A man who can’t hold his marriage for 1 year can’t do government. Shame on KPK people who elected a party run from Bani Gala. IK spent 3 years using KPK Pashtuns as a dharna tool for Takht-e-Lahore.
They also blamed the government for the illegal occupation of FATA, Pashtunistan and Baluchistan. Telling them to “get out of our land”.
The hackers also left a footnote that the credit for hacking the government’s website should be given to them instead of giving credit to the Indian intelligence agency, RAW.
The website was going to get restored today according to sources from the KP government.
This is a developing story and we will continue to update it as we get more details.
