Shaheen Air Inducts an Airbus A319 Aircraft to its International Fleet

In an effort to rebrand itself and re-enter the market with a fresh new look, Shaheen Air is banking on its newly procured jet to capture the public imagination.

Shaheen Air has just acquired a new aircraft, namely the Airbus A319 with following details:

  • Model: Airbus A319-100 Series
  • Seating Capacity: 150 – All Economy
  • Seat Build: Thin, linear and comfortable
  • Aircraft Interior: Brand New Interior

You can take a look at the new A319 that travelers can experience with Shaheen Air:

It should be noted that the 156 seat option is much more densely packed, offering lesser space for passengers travelling in the economy class.

Features Ambient Lighting

The Airbus A319 also features ambient lighting, similar to the Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft bought last month by Serene Air. It changes the lighting according to different phases of the flight.

At the inauguration of the new aircraft, Kashif Sehbai, Chairman Shaheen Air International said:

This is a momentous day for the Shaheen Air family as we unveil our new brand identity. It is not only an embodiment of our zealous values, but is also a frontrunner to a promising future. With this new aircraft, we are poised to become stronger and thrive in this intensely competitive airline industry.

About Shaheen Air

Shaheen Air was the second airline to be launched in Pakistan following PIA. It was also the first privately owned airline launched in Pakistan as well. It started its operations back in 1993. Currently it has 25 planes, it is unclear how many of these are in working condition right now. They currently operate in 7 local destinations and 13 international destinations.

With the number of planes that it currently has, Shaheen Air is Pakistan’s largest private airline, at least according to the company.
