WECREATE Pakistan to Hold First Ever Networking Session for Women in Tech

There is a big gender gap in the technology industry around the world, and more so in Pakistan. Fortunately, the startup boom has given many women a chance to break free from the norms and carve a space for themselves in the world of technology.

Women’s Entrepreneurial Center of Resources, Education, Access, and Training for Economic Empowerment (WECREATE) is dedicated to the cause of accelerating women owned/women-led startups or existing businesses to the next level. For this purpose, they are holding a networking session for women in technology this month.

Women in Tech Networking Session

The session invites women entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, founders, designers, developers, architects, QA personnel and all other experts in the field of technology to come together for the city’s first ever networking session, specifically for women.

Its objective is to bring together women in this domain and to give them a platform to share and highlight their stories. It also wants to propel them further in the field by letting them discover their strengths and potentials and to address their challenges.

When and Where?

The event is scheduled for the 26th of January, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and will be held at WECREATE CENTER, F-11 Markaz Islamabad.

How to register?

Registration is mandatory and can be done through this form. Participation Charges are Rs 500 per person and to be paid at the registration desk.

You can head over to the event’s official Facebook page for more information.

This is the first women-specific networking session being organized by WECREATE in Islamabad and based on the feedback they received, it might even become the first of a series of sessions every quarter.

Since it was launched in 2014, WECREATE Pakistan has held a number of events aimed at empowering women in the country, including a startup competition for women entrepreneurs last year.
