Dire Traffic Situation

Although a motorcycle is considered as the cheapest personal transport vehicle in Pakistan, it has its own share of problems. It is the leading cause of traffic accidents. Bike riders are also more prone to breaking traffic laws compared with any other mode of transport according to publicly available data. This is further evident by the fact that 80,000 challans were served to bike riders alone in just one month in Lahore.

This is part of the reason why a new traffic system is being implemented in Lahore which will have separate lanes for motorcyclists in the city. New traffic lights as well as number plate reading cameras were installed in the city for the new system.
