Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has been aiming to improve government institutes. Education sector was the first priority and after effective reforms, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) managed to move 34,000 children from private to the improved public schools.
This was followed by the police, which got a major makeover, with offices unlike any other in Police’s history. It was also made impartial and disinfected from political intervention.
Now, the emphasis is on Health sector and the KPK government is hoping to say goodbye to the private hospitals and improve the government hospitals.
KPK government did try to salvage the private hospitals by approving the Sehat Insaf Card programme, which offered free treatment to the patients in private facilities. However, the 5-billion rupees project was futile unless government hospitals were improved, and that seems to be the KPK government’s next objective.
The aim is simple: surpass the private medical practice and instead, improve the public hospital facilities so much that people prefer government health institutes. The initiative has started off with a huge bang. Images of the newly constructed hospitals were shared by PTI’s Twitter handle and the infrastructure has massively improved.

The paradigm shift is also backed by various other projects which are to be initiated by the PTI government.
Earlier in February, PTI Chairman Imran Khan announced the launch of Women Health Care Hospital with the capacity of 500 beds in Peshawar to decrease the ratio of maternity health care in the province.

Shaukat Khanum Lahore is an example of an extraordinary hospital in Punjab. Now dont say it was built and run by IK. Its in Punjab and Punjab hasn’t demolished it. Give Punjab due credit of allowing IK run Shaukat Khanum in Punjab.

Why people of Pakistan should pick between good schools, hospitals or public transport and roads? all are equally important…..like in any civilized country
When the priority of sick minded people are to build road and metros (to get investments, votes, wah wah etc.) instead of doing something REAL for public this will happen.
By the way Govt waste (and looted) billions on these stupid road and metro projects.

This is Qazi Medeical Complex in Noshera, the project of Ex-Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Husain Ahmad Late (when he was MNA from Noshera 2002-07, and Ex Govt of KPK mean ANP, 2008-13, stops the project). and now its completed on the initiatives and interest of Sr. Minister of KPK Govt. Mr. Anayat Ullah Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Hospital at my village has a very good building since long time and the previous govt did few more improvements in building.. but what lack was that there wasn’t any doctor who can provide medical facility to people. we the people of village was using it just for Vaccination of children and Polio drops. but now its been few weeks 6 doctors has been appointed here with Morning OPD and 24/7 causality service and with free medicines… and i think its a big improvement to develop a remote area hospitals, which at one side it will help local people while at other side it will help big hospital to have less flow of patients..
Salute to kpk govt, atleast they have done something for public at large which is unlikely to be seen in other provinces

If any government pays attention to health, education and employment that must be appreciated. KP has proven more mature in its 4 year time than the 30 year old Punjab.
Health education and security should be number one priority for any government
