QMobile Launches Energy X2 with a Massive 5000 mAh Battery

The self proclaimed highest selling smartphone brand, QMobile, is back with another entry level smartphone. The Energy X2 is built with one thing in mind: battery life, and it’s evident from the 5,000 mAh battery capacity.

This is the cheaper alternative for those who can’t afford QMobile M6 which also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery.

Energy X2 will be available for Rs. 11,999.

Design and Display

The design for the Energy X2 is simplistic. The back of the phone features what looks like brushed metal finish but is actually plastic. Up front you get a 5 inch IPS HD (1280 x 720) display with ~294 ppi pixel density.

The Energy X2 does not feature a fingerprint sensor. With the prevalence of fingerprint sensors in every other phone these days, it seems strange not to find one in a phone.

Internals and Storage

Powering the QMobile phone is a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M processor with 2 GB of RAM. You get 16 GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot that supports up to 64 GB of extra space.

Energy X2 is a dual-SIM phone by default and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the the box.

Camera and Battery

The primary camera featured here is an 8 MP sensor with an LED flash, HDR, autofocus and 720p video capabilities. There is a 5 MP front camera in the Energy X2 with a wide angle mode and face detection and beautification features.

Finally, the battery unit. QMobile Energy X2 houses a massive 5,000 mAh battery which unfortunately comes with an ordinary 2.0 Amp charger. This could be a problem as charging will definitely take a lot of time.

  • Problem with Q-Mobile is their software never gets any updates . Rather they launch a new model for a new version of Android.
