The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has set up two mega centers with a cost of Rs. 370 million in various densely populated areas of Karachi.
These NADRA centers are being set up with aim to provide swift services to the masses with the capacity to process 3,000 applications by each center on daily basis.
In this connection, Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali inaugurated the unique mega center in North Nazimabad and DHA. One more center is being set up in SITE Area that will be operational by May 2017.
These mega centers will be functional 24/7 round-the-clock with a total of 105 employees working in three shifts.
It must be mentioned here that after the inauguration of these two mega centers, NADRA will close down its other usual centers in district South and Central.
NADRA mega centers will cater a large number of populations of central city and suburbs of Karachi. Hence, citizens of any area –from there — will benefit from these centers without any restrictions.

- Re-verification of NADRA CNICs
While speaking with media, the interior minister said as many as 324,000 CNICs have been blocked by the ministry for re-verification of authenticity. Among them, 174,000 CNICs will be restored after re-verification and re-registration of persons whereas 150,000 CNICs are blocked permanently.
He said that Interior Ministry continued its investigation for the availability of the fake CNICs and found involvement of nearly 600 officials, who will be charged as per law.

I strongly protest to propk admin for using this name as someone’s id. And I will continue to protest until the use of this name as someone’s id is stopped.
Indeed this will be a great service to citizens… But any specific reason for blocking such a huge number of CNlCs especially the permenantly blocked CNICs ?
Afghans, Bangalis ..even Irani and central Asians have Pakistani IDs as we hand it over to them for a few thousands.
They all will have it in this way if our Government doesn’t make any serious policy for these immigrants or refugees

NADRA does not require more centers, it rather requires to stop corrupt practices. Introducing more service centers is not going to solve the issues being faced by the public. NADRA needs to to review its policies with regard to employment in NADRA. Centers of NADRA and Website of NADRA does not provide any list of documents which are being asked/demanded by the officers sitting in the centers for case to case processing, for example, the admit card of Matric; they do not accept the B-Form issued by NADRA for the verification of date of birth, etc. they rather ask for admit card of Matric for verification of particulars.
I obtained my NICOP through Pakistan High Commission, London. Since I had genuine documentation, NADRA gave me zero problem.

Saw this morning 8.45AM, around 30 or 40 peoples waiting outside in the line not sure why they were waiting outside since there is banner which said “Open 24hours” and the office looks big enough for 100+ people. They closed the 2 nadra center in north nazimabad including the executive center.

i live in orangi town but i visited nadra mega center north nazimabad previous week. Employees told me either you have to make your CNIC form your local area or you would have to pay bribery Rs.3000.
Disgusting NADRA Employees, I had visited DHA center for renewal of my expired NIC, they told me to bring my parents or family members for their biometrics for my NIC renewal, when i brought them, then they said to come on another day with original NIC, when went on another day they said we do this type of work only in morning shift, so come early in the morning , now this is 4-5 times visiting this stupid NADRA Mega center for just renewing my already biometrically verified NIC.
AoA I live in Malir I want to make Form B for my kids because Malir Centre has big crowed and it is very difficult to go there in early morning. Pls confirm that can I make Form B from North Nazimabad mega centre 24/7 or not? I enquire another question that the presence of my husband and mine are necessary for preparation of B.Form.

why i need detail of my mother and my father at the time of renewal???? i am not applying for new NIC, its just renewal, they should ask only finger prints as a proof that I am alive. unnecessary detail cause wastage of time for so many people. i dont understand the logic…
