Shaheen Air to Serve 49,000 Pilgrims for Hajj This Year

Shaheen Air International (SAI) has announced that it will transport 49,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia during the upcoming Hajj operation. For Pre-Hajj pilgrims SAI will operate 217 flights.

SAI  has informed that they will deploy 8 aircraft for this operation.

From July 24, the airline’s pre-Hajj operations will start and remain operational till August.

Out of 49,000 pilgrims, 35,000 pilgrims will fly under the government’s Hajj scheme while the remaining 14,000 pilgrims shall undertake the journey via private Hajj tour operators.

SAI will operate Hajj flights from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad and Quetta. Hajj flights will be operated to Jeddah and Madina.

The first Hajj flights will be flown from Faisalabad to Madinah at 0530 hours and from Karachi to Jeddah at 0600 hours.

Chief Marketing Officer of Shaheen Air, Mr. Zohaib Hassan said that the company is poised “to embark on its 7th consecutive Hajj operation.”

“As Pakistan’s second national air carrier, SAI is ready facilitate the pilgrims in every possible way.”

Last year, Shaheen Air was awarded with a certificate of appreciation and award of excellence by the Directorate General of Hajj, Pakistan upon successful completion of its Hajj operations in the year 2015.
