The Punjab Traffic Police has decided to launch a special awareness campaign on juvenile driving permits across educational institutions, following directives from the DIG Traffic Punjab.
SSP Traffic Syed Nadeem Abbas has issued a circular to all Chief Traffic Officers (CTOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs), instructing them to educate students in schools and colleges about juvenile driving permits, the procedure to obtain them, and the legal requirements involved.
According to the circular, the road safety awareness drive will commence once educational institutions reopen in August. Special sessions will cover safe driving practices, traffic laws, and responsible road behaviour.
Officials said eligible students will receive encouragement to obtain juvenile permits through the prescribed legal procedure. Directives have also been issued to ensure the campaign runs effectively across all districts of the province.
