The number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan reached 42.084 million by the end of June 2017 against 41.728 million by May 2017. This was revealed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) recently.
According to data exclusively available with ProPakistani, the number of mobile phone users in Pakistan reached 139.758 million by the end of June 2017 when compared to 140.516 million by end of May, a decrease of 7,58,143 users during the period under review.
Jazz’s total count for 3G users stood at 12.443 million by June 2017, compared to 12.504 million at the end of May 2017, registering a downward trend of 61,404 users. Jazz 4G user numbers jumped from 895483 by end May 2017 to 937,209 by end June.
Zong 3G subscribers decreased to 8.64 million by end June compared to 8.674 million by end may 2017, however the number of 4G users jumped from 3823877 by end May to 4041766 by end June.
The number of 3G users on Telenor network also down from 10.473 million by end May to 10.453 by end June 2017, but like others the number of 4G users jumped from 519788 by end May to 607013 by end June 2017.
Ufone added 124012 3G users on its network during the month of June as the total reached to 4.96 million against 4.836 million at the end of May 2017.
Teledensity for cellular mobile reached 72.41% and broadband subscribers reached 44,608,065 by end June as compared to 41,728,236 by end May 2017.
