While Asus has focused majorly on photography with its ZenFone 4 series, as the name suggests, the focus is more on self portraits with the new ZenFone 4 Selfie.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie will be priced at $279. It’ll be available in Black, Gold, Green and Pink.
Design & Display
The phone features a metal design, which is impressive for a mid-range phone. The display has 5.5-inch 720p HD resolution, along with a 2.5D curved glass panel and a fingerprint sensor on the front.
Internals & Storage
Under the hood, you get an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, which has become more of a norm for industry’s mid-budget phones.
There’s also a spacious 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage, which is also expandable. Dual SIM support is available as well.
Camera(s)
The ZenFone 4 Selfie comes with a dual front camera setup rather than a rear-one. There’s a 20 MP front camera, accompanied by an 8 MP wide-angle sensor. An LED Flash is also on-board for low-light conditions.
Asus touts its new mode called “wefie”, which takes a super-wide selfie. The selfie camera also brings some other filters. The main camera comes with a solitary 16 MP shooter and LED Flash.
This is eerily similar to Oppo’s F3 and F3 Plus phones. They had a similar dual front camera setup with a wide-angle selfie mode.
Battery
The battery capacity is set at 3,000 mAh. Fast charging support is not included which means you’re stuck charging it for the full 2-2.5 hours.
