Pliro: Redefining & Simplifying Healthcare for Patients

Modern lifestyle is much different than what it used to be. With busy schedules, people cannot afford to be sick and have their routines disrupted. For students and working professionals, opting for traditional healthcare facilities can prove to be tiresome.

With the aim to redefine the healthcare by making its accessibility easy, efficient and effective for patients and doctors Pliro, a healthcare platform has been introduced by Aurora Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd.

What Is Pliro & How It Helps The Patients?

Pliro is an all-round web and mobile platform which focuses on connecting patients with the doctors and hospitals in times of need.

A patient can book an appointment with a PMDC verified doctor in just 3-simple clicks. Along with simple user interface and substantial number of verified doctors listed on it, Pliro provides complete care in times of sickness with these diversified features.

It provides the following features for its patients:

Through Pliro’s app, patients can check doctor’s ratings & book an appointment online

  • Easy Quick Search: The healthcare system is integrated with an effective and a user-friendly search option. Patients can add their symptoms and the appropriate doctors will appear in the search result. The results can also be filtered by gender, charges, location and ratings.
  • Booking Appointments: After selecting the relevant doctor, time and location, a patient can book appointment online and without having to call the doctor.
  • Instant Ambulance: To save you excessive trouble, Pliro provides the feature of instant ambulance calling in times of emergency.
  • Online Medical Record & Services List: Before actually visiting, patients have the facility to overview the consultation and procedural charges along with any prerequisite documents required by the doctors.
  • Find Your Way: The clinic and hospital locations are embedded in the app and patients can navigate use the app to find their respective doctor, if they get lost.
  • SMS Reminders & Notifications: With SMS alerts and reminders, patients can remain updated with healthcare appointment status and report timings.

Benefiting the Community

Health education, something that is missing from the Pakistani society, is an important aspect which can reduce a person’s chance of getting sick. To become a complete healthcare facility, Pliro is hoping to educate the people through online discussions.

Pakistan Health & Fitness Forum – Powered by Pliro

Pliro’s Facebook Group — Pakistan Health & Fitness Forum — is a closed group for doctors and patients. The group discussion includes all the health-related questions. People post their concerns, ask advice and they are answered by qualified and PMDC verified  doctors.

Pliro Forum:

The official Pliro forum plays almost the same role as Pliro’s Facebook group. Anyone can ask a question online anonymously and the related doctor is notified. Within 24 hours, a PMDC certified doctor responds to the question.

You can also download Pliro’s app on your Android or iOS smartphone.

  • Needs to add searching/filtering by locality. I don’t want to see doctors in the entire city of Lahore … just ones relatively close to where I live.

    • You can use ‘Nearby Doctors’ feature which will only show you doctors within 10kms from your current location

      • Ah OK, didn’t notice that option. Perhaps that should be the default option, since most people would want to look for doctors near them.

Also, when I used that option, the list of doctors should be sorted by nearness. Right now the first doctor being recommended was in Gulberg (I’m in DHA). The 3rd one was in Cavalry, which is closer. Perhaps you guys sort by rating (which was equal for all the doctors in my list).

        Good luck!

        • Yes good suggestion. When searching nearby doctors we should sort by distance. Thanks :)
