Pakistan’s Iram Khalid Makes it to Asian Women Baseball All-Stars Team

Pakistan is a country which isn’t very well known for women sports but Pakistani baseball player, Iram Khalid, has achieved something very extraordinary.
Iram Khalid, 25, has managed to secure a place in the all stars team at the conclusion of the Baseball Federation of Asia’s (BFA) sports event held in Hong Kong.
With limited support from family and government, Iram’s achievement speaks volumes of the talent the country possesses.
Although the Pakistani women baseball team failed to register even a single win at the championship, Khalid’s noteworthy performance in the Baseball Asian Cup earned her a place in the all-star team, comprising the event’s best performers.
The all-stars team comprises of the best performers in the tournament.
Iram Khalid said that she was disappointed by the team’s performance in the tournament but she was delighted with her inclusion the all-stars team.
While talking to a media outlet, she said:
We were unable to win a match as team, but I am happy to be recognized and inducted in all-stars team. I dedicate this achievement to the nation.
The talented Pakistani sportswoman has been included in “Catcher” category for the BFA tournament’s all-star team.
The tournament was held in Hong Kong under Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA). A total of six teams participated in the tournament which included Pakistan, India, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong.
