Pakistan Army Rescues 5 Foreign Hostages From Terrorists’ Grasp

Pak Army has recovered 5 western hostages including 1 Canadian, his US national wife and their three children from terrorist custody through an intelligence based operation by its troops.

They were captured by terrorists from Afghanistan during 2012 and were kept as hostages there. US intelligence agencies had been tracking them and shared their movement towards Pakistan on 11 Oct 2017 through Kurram Agency border.

The operation by Pakistani forces, based on actionable intelligence from US authorities was successful; all hostages were recovered safe and sound and are being moved to the country of their origin.

The success underscores the importance of timely intelligence sharing and Pakistan’s continued commitment towards fighting the terrorist menace through cooperation between two forces against a common enemy.

What these hostage doing in afganistan?

    • Same as Kulbhushan Sudhir Jadhav Working :

      • Saqib Mansoor

Yeah, they were so great at their work that they went in there while being pregnant with a child.

        • Patriot

Mr. Saqib, the story does not mention that the lady was pregnant; any special reason for your special interest in those kidnapped? The fact is that all the three children were born during captivity, because the mightiest military force on earth could not recover them from areas under their own governance since 2012.
Speaks volumes about the competence of their forces, as well as the fact that they are also the most well equipped force on earth, which further highlights the level of incompetence.
So I hope you realize the difference — 47 countries in
Afghanistan could not recover them while they were in Afghanistan,
including US and Afghan forces, but Pakistani military did.
On a side-note, I think you forgot another young lady, highly educated MIT graduate, who was kidnapped in Karachi with her two sons, one of whom were later killed during custody in Bagram.
The lady is still held against her will, and against all international laws, and violations of all internationals treatise by a certain global superpower — hopefully this shows you the difference between real state sponsored terrorism and what is hyped about in media.

            “- 47 countries in
Afghanistan could not recover them while they were in Afghanistan,
including US and Afghan forces, but Pakistani military did.”. This makes things more suspicious. Does Pak army have any illicit connection with Taliban?
