Transworld Introduces up to 100Mbps FTTH Broadband for Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad

Transworld Associates (mostly known as TW1), a back-haul internet bandwidth provider, has just launched its consumer segment through which it aims to offer ultra high-speed broadband for home users through FTTH at affordable prices.

Packages

According to details shared with ProPakistani, Transworld Home will offer 30Mbps, 50Mbps, 70Mbps and 100Mbps speeds for home users.

Service comes through the company’s own high-grade FTTH infrastructure with special purpose modems that are fully compatible with 100Mbps speeds, meaning that customers will get the advertised speeds.

Launched in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi simultaneously, below are the prices for various Transworld Home Packages:

  • 30Mbps: Rs. 3,000 Per Month
  • 50Mbps: Rs. 4,000 Per Month
  • 70Mbps: Rs. 7,500 Per Month
  • 100Mbps: Rs. 10,000 Per Month

Not to mention, Transworld Home is tier 1 ISP that operates multiple submarine cables itself. This effectively means that Transworld Home has direct access to international bandwidth and it won’t have to get internet access through a service provider.

Other than Tranworld, PTCL is the only ISP that has direct access to outside world through submarine cables.

Commenting on the launch, Transworld’s Head of Marketing Bilal Mughal said “We are continuously improving and giving more power to the end users of Internet. With these ground-breaking methods, Transworld is changing the way Pakistan communicates with the outside world.”

Coverage Areas

As with any new ISP, Transworld home is currently limited to certain areas of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. But they are going to stretch the service to farther areas based on high-value demand from the customers.

They are currently available at following locations:

  • Karachi
    • DHA Phase 4
    • DHA Phase 5
    • DHA Phase 6
    • KAECHS
    • PECHS Block-2

    • PECHS Block-6
    • Sindhi Muslim Societ
    • PIDC

  • Wow nice. Nayatel is facing some competition now in Islamabad. TW needs to expand the coverage ASAP to give some tough time to Nayatel now

  • Please bring this in Iqbal town also… PLease, PLKeease, Please, Pleeeease…. PTCL packages are toilet compared to this fair package new thing-e…

  • Please come to Bahria Town, Lahore :( No FTTH here. We have to rely on poor copper network of PTCL exchange.

    • Setting up infrastructure for FTTH takes MONEY. They will only launch first in posh populated areas where they know the demand would be high.

      Rs1000? Really?

        • tou bhai tu PTCL lagwa le.. woh q apna standard kam kren? aur wese b in ki website pe 2000 wala package b hai 20Mbps ka….

  • Paying 2500 on ptcl for really bad speed 2 mb package lol would happily pay 3000 for a 30 mb

    • 100% agreed. I pay Rs, 2500 PM and despite that I have been striving to get my phone line repaired from last 1 month and still not resolved. I would love to pay Rs. 3000 to TW instead of paying to PTCL.

    • But I am using PTCL transform package 20 Mbps in 2999/- it’s an excelllent package. I am satisfied since 2014.

  • Their One time charges / Installation charges is Rs. 17000, which is higher in my point of view. It will not work until they convert it in Monthly Rental.

  • To say Launched in Islamabad is really stretching when it is only available in DHA Phase 2

  • This is way too costly if compared with other FTH services like FIBERLINK and STORM Fiber. They are charging half the price with twice the speed. In fact they double the speed for night for the same price….. Plus TV Cable and Landline fone is bundled with the package…I expected a company like trans-world to come up with some better pricing and coverage area….. I hope they improve their stuff soon…

    • They don’t have competition in most of the areas they have deployed their network. Its a business, it will try their level best to extract as much profits as they can till they have to face some other company.

  • In Lahore they should’ve started from Bahira Town. People are deprived of fiber isp here. Majority is well off and can even pay double. But I guess the main hurdle is that famous bahria town agreement with PTCL.

  • Well, this is a good service for sure, but I am using PTCL 20 Mbps truly unlimited with phone ( no line rent) and free Ptcl smart tv since 2014 (converted to 20 Mbps last December) for 2999/- very satisfied, it has good speed. My point being PTCL is turning up the heat as well.

      • None is inclusive of taxes. Not even above prices in article. All internet packages of all companies (excluding some mobile phone internet packages) are exclusive of taxes.
        Hope that explains brother.

  • Isn’t Fiberlink also an independent ISP ? I’ve got 40Mbps FTTH in Township, Lahore.

  • 50-80GB data or 5-7MB speed wala bhi koi pkg hona chahye ghareebon k liye.
Monthly charges Rs.1500 tak ho jaen :/

    • I don’t know where you live but in Islamabad & Rawalpindi, Nayatel offers such packages at even lower price points. Almost whole region is covered.

      • Nayatel only serve in Islamabad main sectors. They don’t give connection like other ISP untill they get atleast 10+ clients in your area. Not in Barakahu.

        • They are also serving almost whole of Rawalpindi urban area and also the societies along Islamabad Highway till Bahria. It actually depends on how easily they get permits for digging, how much compensation they have to give out to land owners or any rebuilding required and foremost, how much is the ROI in the region. All ISPs (except government backed) are like that, no one will risk an investment without any prospect of getting a sizeable return.

You can only expect PTCL to have a network in such an area. Private enterprises are here to do business and not serve the people. It is a reality, one must not forget.

  • in ke rate kaise paglon wale hain. 50 mbps is for 4000 and 100 mbps is for 10k, 40 mbps ke 2 connection le loh 8k ke parienge hahaha

  • I wonder what is Fair usage policy after saying No Cap they have written fair usage applicable.
