JazzCash Enabled at Over 100 Vending Machines throughout Pakistan

JazzCash in partnership with Vendi has enabled digital payments at over 100 vending machines.

Under this service, JazzCash aims to provide convenience to its customers through these innovative vending machines located at various universities, offices and shopping malls in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

On top of making digital transactions possible on these vending machines, JazzCash is also utilizing these machines for digital advertising by playing its advertisement on their screens which will educate customers on how to register their JazzCash Mobile Account and use it for payment on the vending machine.

These vending machines stock several brands of snacks, chocolates, and chilled beverages to consumers on the spot.

JazzCash Mobile Account customers can now pay for their items directly through their Mobile Account by entering their mobile number on the machine or by simply tapping their NFC tag, which is available at Jazz Experience Centers in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi for a nominal one-time fee of Rs 50.

Speaking about this initiative, Aniqa Afzal Sandhu, Chief Digital and Financial Services Officer – Jazz, stated, “After successfully enabling millions of customers with mobile accounts, expansion into retail purchase space is the next important pillar in our strategy of enabling a cashless ecosystem. JazzCash payment acceptance at such a large number of vending machines will provide an important use case to our valued customers.”

“Vendi team has worked vigorously to provide a streamlined payment solution for Vendi users by collaborating with JazzCash, which I believe is pivotal for strategic growth of Vendi’s future in retail payment market,” shared Ahmed Fraz Malik, CEO Wavetec and Vendi.

  • Title should be “Jazz Cash Enabled at Over 100 vending machines througout Karachi and Punjab”

They havent even covered all major cities of Pakistan.

  • yet again another attempt to target wrong segment, the segment already using multiple other conventional payment mechanisms like credit cards, internet banking etc. non-scalable model only for publicity. unfortunately both players in competition on payments are targeting totally wrong segment via totally wrong strategy, shows lack of relevant experience.
