Good news! The Sindh government has officially announced public holiday on Friday — December 1st — on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
The notification was issued on Tuesday and is in effect “for the staffers of all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local Councils under the administrative control of Sindh government excluding essential services.”
In short, all schools, colleges and administrative departments under the control of provincial government will remain closed on December 1st.
Majority of the citizens have started the preparation for the holy day. The religious, social and cultural organizations are also organizing Milad and Seerat gatherings.
Various mosques and buildings have already been decorated with Pakistan’s flag and fancy lighting.
