The underpass is 1.3 km long linking Dharampura to Mughalpura and the underpass is 5.1 meter in height. The mega project was built at a cost of Rs. 6.93 billion and it was completed in 125 days according to the government officials.
During the ceremony, the CM claimed that the project was one of the biggest in Punjab. Due to the Beijing underpass, the road linking Thokar Niaz Baig to Harbanspura is now signal free. A total 175,000 vehicles will benefit from the underpass and this will indeed save citizens’ time during commutes.
