Top Performing Students Receive Laptops and Other Rewards at TEVTA

600 outstanding students of over 400 technical colleges all over Punjab will be awarded with laptops and other prizes by Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), says the Chairman of TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh.

In a meeting on Thursday at TEVTA, he told that the Board has decided to award outstanding students with commendable percentages in examinations as well as position holders of the Annual Examination of Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE).

He also announced that students with the top three position in PBTE annual examinations will also be awarded with a special prize.

The main purpose of these awards is to motivate the students in order to increase competition and reward the hard work of those students who burn the midnight oil to be amongst the best. The star students of TETVA are not just a pride for Pakistan but also represent TETVA across the globe by portraying a good image especially of our country, says the Chairman.

Students in the world of today now prefer technical education rather than conventional education. A person with technical education has better job opportunities and can earn twice as much as the a person with a conventional education.

He said that this is the real reason why TETVA has maintained about 200,000 graduates per year during the past three years. Comparatively, no other country in South Asia has yet beaten this milestone.

Quantity is not only the main priority of TETVA but quality is also being ensured and for this TETVA is planning to establish a University in collaboration with a Chinese University where 80% of the quota would be for the DAE students.
