CPEC Quarterly Magazine & Website Launched by CPEC Centre of Excellence

CPEC Centre of Excellence has launched a CPEC Quarterly Magazine and website .

Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, inaugurated the website and magazine. The magazine will give a review of different projects under CPEC and will also cover the news related to the mega project.

Ahsan Iqbal said on the occasion that the ultimate objective of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is to transform South Asia and Central Asia as regions of peace, stability and prosperity.

He added that no one should consider the Corridor as a security project. We invite everyone to join hands with CPEC so that we can work together to build a stable, peaceful and prosperous region. Together we can bring change in the lives of people in this part of the world where there is still extreme poverty, said the Minister.

He said CPEC Centre of Excellence is already focusing on urban development, trade, industry, regional connectivity, socio-economic impact, jobs, growth and human resource development. However, there are many more opportunities and these should be exploited through collaborative research. He proposed that Pakistani and Chinese researchers should work together for joint studies on different aspects of CPEC.

Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is the project of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

He said that CPEC is result of joint efforts of Pakistan and China to materialize the goal of sustainable development.

The Ambassador congratulated the CPEC Centre of Excellence over launching of CPEC Quarterly Magazine and website and termed it as a good step towards providing awareness to the people about updates, opportunities and activities with regards to the CPEC project.
