Hascol is Giving Army Members Discounted Petrol on Motorway!

In a bid to honor the sacrifices by Pakistan Army, Hascol Petroleum Limited is offering Rs. 2/ liter discount to defense personnel on Hasron 95 and Hasron 97 at all Hascol fuel stations across the M-2 Motorway.

A few months ago, Hascol, along with Honda Atlas Pakistan, had complained about the high manganese content in petrol — which’s harmful to car engines and the environment — sold in Pakistan.

Hascol Petroleum had recommended the government to recheck the composition of petrol to make it safer for vehicles. The company had asked DG Oil to revise and upgrade specifications for petrol.

Saleem Butt, CEO of Hascol Petroleum, had also sent a letter to the government to recall them to improve the quality of petrol for vehicles that they had promised back in November 2016.

The government had introduced three grades – Research Octane Number (RON) 92, 95, and 97 – after replacing RON 87.

However, Saleem Butt pointed out that the companies were “artificially” meeting the required specifications because the production of RON 92 grade is expensive otherwise.
