Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a man in India involved in running an international child pornography network through WhatsApp. The 20-year-old individual was arrested on charges of circulating and uploading child pornography online.
The WhatsApp group had 119 members from India, Pakistan, United States, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Afghanistan, China and some other countries.
A representative of CBI said;
We arrested the administrator of the WhatsApp group and recovered computer hardware and mobiles phones used to upload and store the videos and pictures

Nikhil Verma, the arrested individual, is a commerce graduate and was arrested from his home in Kannuaj city of Uttar Pradesh. Police is pursuing four other suspects and admins of the same WhatsApp group involved in circulating child pornography.

Police conducted multiple raids across several cities of India and finally arrested the main suspect. Regarding the remaining admins and 119 members, CBI says that they will seek assistance from other countries whose citizens are members of the group.
