Askari Bank Limited has brought in two new experienced professionals as directors and its board members – Abid Sattar and Brig Saleem Ahmed Moeen, SI (retd).
Abid Sattar, the new director and board member, has been appointed as the CEO and President Askari Bank, who assumed his office taking charge from the acting CEO and President Saleem Anwar.
About Abid Sattar
Sattar was appointed as CEO and President of Askari Bank to replace his predecessor, Syed M Hussaini. Abid Sattar is a senior banker with over three decades of experience in the banking industry locally and globally.
During his last role, Sattar led HBL’s international market as the Divisional Head of International – Asia & Africa at Habib Bank Limited until 2018. He served as the Head of Global Operations at Habib Bank Limited as well.
Sattar has extensive experience in corporate, consumer and retail banking, both in Pakistan as well as abroad.
About Brig Saleem Moeen
Brig Saleem Moeen, SI (retd) replaced Justice (retd) Sarmad Jalal Osmani as the director of the bank.
He is the CEO of SecureTech Consultancy and an IT expert with unmatched knowledge and hands-on experience in turning complex ICT, e-governance and large-scale turnkey solutions into success stories.
Brig. (Retd) Moeen has successfully designed and executed a Smart Card based end to end registration and verification system as CEO SecureTech Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd for the Pakistan Army.
He also served as Chairman NADRA for 7 years. Moeen designed and implemented the Interactive, Multi-biometric, Data Acquisition Centers for registration of the citizens of Pakistan.
