PSQCA Seizes Sub-Standard Products and Bottled Water in Sindh

Pakistan Standard and Quality Control Authority’s (PSQCA) team has started a crackdown against sub-standard products and seized R.O. Plants at Karachi and Hyderabad.

In Karachi, the PSQCA Team raided a Metro Cash & Carry Departmental Store at Airport, Shahrah-e-Faisal. Some sub-standard products included OK Brand Banaspati and Moulvi Brand Banaspati which were seized, de-shelved and notices were issued.

In Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Tando Allahyar, the PSQCA team raided 8 (Eight) R.O. plants which were seized due to sub-standard products and not having Certification Marks License.

Their stock was also seized on the spot which includes Aqua X Pure Drinking Water, Aqua Life, Elleeyen Premium Drinking Water, Meezab Water, Ocean Pure Drinking Water, New City Taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Mirpurkhas, Bilal Beverages Company, Tando Allahyar, Aqua Rose Water Filter Plant, Tando Allahyar and Oxyrich Best Drinking Water, Tando Allahyar.

Director-General PSQCA, Abdul Aleem Memon, said that the surveillance team was striving to trace sub-standard products and illegal manufacturers of bottled drinking water. Strict action would be taken against the companies if they were found preparing sub-standard products/water.
