Three floors of the PID building are on fire
There’s chaos everywhere as a massive fire has engulfed three floors of the Press Information Department (PID) building in Islamabad.
Soon after the incident, the rescue and medical services rushed to the spot and started to evacuate the building.
So far, three injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals, where they are getting treatment for minor burn injuries.
Local media reports say several employees are still stuck in the building.
There are reports that the fire probably initiated on the ground floor due to an electrical short-circuit. However, more details will be revealed after confirmation from official sources.
Eight fire department workers are currently present at the scene. Police say there has been no loss of life reported so far.
