Former Pakistan Test captain and Multan Sultans’ Mentor, Wasim Akram, has joined Karachi Kings as a president of the franchise on Wednesday.
The development happened after the star all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi parted ways with Karachi Kings following a disagreement on his participation in the T10 league.
Afridi was also the President of the Kings, a position he took over last year after delinking himself from Peshawar Zalmi.
Owner of the franchise, Salman Iqbal, made this announcement on Twitter.

Afridi’s departure came into light when the Kings released their player retention list on Wednesday.
Kings released Afridi but retained left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir, right-handed batsman Babar Azam and Black Caps opening batsman Colin Munro as their Platinum picks.
Boom Boom thanked Kings ‘for the lovely time’ and said he was looking to begin a new chapter in his PSL journey and would follow the upcoming draft that is to be held on November 20 in Islamabad.
