Huawei Technologies Pakistan Pvt. Ltd announced its intention to send Pakistani teachers to China in December, so that they could make the most of ICT related coursework and training program there.
The training was arranged keeping in view the ever-growing need to improve and develop IT programs in government institutes of Pakistan. Huawei understands that ICT is becoming a crucial tool for teachers.
It not only improves the students’ performance but also motivates them to learn more. The main purpose of the training was to apply what those teachers learned in China back home, and make it part of their teaching.
The training was arranged in close cooperation with National Vocational & Technical Training Commission, Pakistan. 18 brilliant teachers were selected on merit for a month-long training in China, Chongqing Polytechnic College. All the teachers happened to be government ICT professionals, selected from all over Pakistan.
Engr Ghazanfar Ali, Instructor at Aman Tech Near Pakistan Refinery LTD, Korangi Karachi was a part of the delegation. He thought the opportunity and learning was an excellent experience for him at the Chongqing Polytechnic College. He thanked Huawei for this wonderful and memorable time in China.
He also cleared the Huawei HCNA certification and received an appreciation certificate by the college. “We were able to explore Chongqing city and got a chance to interact with very cooperative people during this journey. The whole idea was very meaningful and we are taking back useful knowledge for our students,” he said.
After successful training, the delegation returned to Pakistan on the 28th of December, 2018.. On their arrival, they were welcomed by the college team.
A formal opening and introductory ceremony was arranged so that the perspective of the training could be made clear to all participants. By the end of the course, all the trainees gave Huawei HCNA certification examination. 8 students passed the HCNA Certification.
A closing ceremony in their honor was arranged where the trainees were thanked and appreciated for their hard work and learning efforts during the course. All of them were awarded training certificates.
The training was not only based on coursework but also included exposure to Chinese culture. The delegation was given a city tour, which also the included the main tourist attraction spots.
The delegation got to learn about Chinese history and people as well. In return, the Chinese also learned from the Pakistani delegation and gained mutual respect and understanding for Pakistani cultures.
It was a fully sponsored program by Huawei Pakistan. The company is keen about investing in the education sector of Pakistan through programs like ICT Competition, which aims to lay the seeds for future cooperation, as well as sponsorship programs for students and teachers to learn in China. During the past few years, a lot of students and teachers have been sent to China by Huawei for various training programs.
