PARCO to Establish the Biggest Oil Refinery in Hub

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan, has announced that the Pak-Arab Oil Refinery Limited (PARCO) plans to set up the biggest oil refinery in Hub.

“The Pak-Arab Oil Refinery Limited will install the biggest oil refinery in Hub, in addition to the one by Saudi Arabia in Gwadar,” he said while talking to media in Karachi.

He also said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an economic game-changer for Pakistan. It will introduce job opportunities, better life, and prosperity for the people of Balochistan, he said.

The CM further said that development projects like Rekodik will be complete soon. “Many development projects were announced in last 25 years but they remained limited to paperwork. There were a number of projects which can be seen in documents but on the ground there was nothing.”

He stressed that Balochistan is replete with huge mineral and natural resources, which are the property of the people of the province.

While talking about his government’s plans, he announced that they will set up 16 to 18 trauma centers along the RCD Highway.

“We are upgrading all district headquarter hospitals. As many as 500 doctors will be appointed on a contract basis to provide health facilities in every part of the province,” said Baloch CM.

Apart from that, the Balochistan government has constituted a tourism development authority to promote sector in the province, told the CM.

While responding to a question, Kamal said that the protestors had “called off the missing persons camp in Quetta for two months on the assurance of the provincial government”.
