Pakistan has received an extraordinary amount of rain and snowfall this winter – thanks to westerly waves. Where these record-breaking rains have proven to be a heavenly gift for the farmers, they have also caused damage, including floods and land sliding, which has taken several lives.
This unusual rain spell is expected to stay a little longer as Pakistan meteorological department has predicted more widespread rain across the country in the coming month as well.
