The department has hired a Quran teacher to teach the students to read the Holy book.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year, the School Education Department (SED) in Punjab directed the district education authorities to ensure that transgender children are treated equally in both public and private schools in the province.
The department also issued a notification to this effect on August 9, 2018.
