Pakistan’s Airspace to Remain Closed Till Friday Evening

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a revised notice regarding the suspension of Pakistani airspace. The revised notice states that the country’s airspace shall remain closed till 6 pm, March 1, 2019.

Pakistan’s airspace has been closed since yesterday when the tensions with neighbor India grew profoundly. The CAA had announced that closure of the airspace shall prolong till Thursday.

However, in a new development, it has surfaced that the closure will now continue until Friday, 6 pm.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) also announced to suspend its flights.

However, the airspace has partially reopened today for flights from Karachi.

The real-time flight information provider, Flightradar, has also revealed certain flights leaving Pakistan. Flight operations leaving Pakistan belong to Air Arabia, Emirates, Qatar Airways and several others.
