Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has awarded landing right permission to M/S Standard Services (Pvt), Ltd, Lahore, for foreign satellite TV channel ‘E-1.’
Chairman PEMRA, Muhammad Saleem Baig, awarded the landing rights at PEMRA Headquarters Islamabad. The channel has been granted landing rights under the children category.
The decision had been taken during the 147th meeting of the PEMRA in December last year.
The meeting, headed by chairman PEMRA, had decided to award landing rights to two channels, E-1 and ‘Minimax’ under the same category.
During the meeting, chairman PEMRA was informed that out of ten companies that had applied, five had been provisionally registered with PEMRA so far.
