PIA Plane Hits Boarding Bridge at Toronto Airport

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane had to be grounded after it hit a passenger boarding bridge (jetty) at Toronto airport.

A PIA spokesperson has shared the details of the incident. According to him, the PIA aircraft, Boeing 777, flight PK-789, had arrived at Toronto airport from Lahore. It hit a jetty because of the negligence of the Canadian ground staff.

The plane’s engine cover got damaged in the accident which is why the return flight to Lahore has been canceled. The official further told that PIA will seek help from the Canadian aeronautical engineers to fix the damage and resume the aircraft’s operations.

No casualties or injuries have occurred in the incident and reportedly, the damaged is minor.
