Xiaomi’s Foldable Phone to Cost Half as Much as Samsung Galaxy Fold

When Samsung and Huawei introduced their foldable phones, the excitement was real. However, it settled down as soon as the hefty price tag was unveiled. Samsung Galaxy Fold will approximately cost $1980 and Huawei mate X will cost $2600. With that price tag, most people won’t be getting a foldable phone any time soon.

In this scenario, Xiaomi is the bearer of good news. Though with a different design, Xiaomi has announced to launch two of their foldable phones, Mi Flex, and Mi Fold, at half the price of Samsung Galaxy Fold,

At $999, it will allow more consumers to experience the folding smartphones that are the talk of the town.

Similar to Galaxy Fold, Mi Flex and Fold will also feature an OLED display made by Xiaomi in collaboration with Visonex technology. The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC and a reported 10 GB of RAM.

There are not a lot of details available yet, but the smartphone will supposedly launch somewhere between April and June.

By the looks of it, the design that Mi Flex and Mi Fold feature are the best until now. It has a slim profile and an elegant look. In comparison with the Moto Razr concept, Huawei Mate X, and Samsung Galaxy Fold’s current design, the Xiaomi foldable phone is the clear winner.
