Imran Khan Is Among Top 10 Most Followed Leaders on Twitter: Report

According to The Spectator Index, Imran Khan is among the top ten of most followed leaders on Twitter around the world. He currently has a following of 9.4 million.

Spectator Index is famous for issuing interesting statistics about the current and future trends in Politics, economy, history, Military, Science, and technology.

Imran Khan’s popularity is not limited just to Pakistan, it extends across the border as well. According to the latest statistics shared by Spectator Index, the Pakistani Prime Minister is the 9th most followed leader in the world.

US President Donald Trump (@realDonaldTrump) is on top of the list with 59.5 million followers, followed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) with 46.7 million followers. One of the main reasons why Trump has this much following is that he often shares important policy decisions via his Twitter handle.

According to the list, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is at number four while India’s Shushma Swaraj takes 5th spot with 13.6 and 12.4 million followers respectively. King Salman of KSA is at the 10th spot 7.3 million followers.

Last year, Khan was placed at the 7th spot with 8.17 million before he was in power.

  9. Imran Khan – 9.4 million
  10. King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz – 7.3 million

Imran Khan also often announces several key decisions through his Twitter and his followers are increasing by the day.
