Railway Police Catches Smuggling Ring With Hundreds of Illegal Phones

The drug road railway police has foiled a mobile phone smuggling ring and confiscated 450 phones while arresting three culprits.

Shahla Qureshi, SSP Railway Division Karachi, while addressing a press conference stated that when the Millet Express reached the Drug road railway station from Punjab, the Railway police carried out routine inspection and spotted Kashif, a passenger from Faisalabad, who disembarked to meet two others. The officers, on a hunch, checked his luggage and found 468 mobile phones. The officers arrested all three of them

Qureshi further added that Mustafa was the owner of the phones, while Irfan was the money behind the operation and Kashif would transport the phones from all over the country to Karachi.

The seized phones, in this case, were acquired from Raja Bazaar, Rawalpindi and Mustafa has another case pending against him under the Customs act at the Railway Station Cantt.
