The government plans to use influencers to reach young people and married couples more effectively. Officials believe digital platforms can help deliver family planning messages to a wider audience.

The campaign will also aim to change public attitudes towards family planning. For this purpose, the government will involve digital content creators, influential personalities and social opinion leaders.

According to budget documents, the government has already spent Rs. 182.7 million on the project.

Meanwhile, authorities have proposed more than Rs. 31.6 million for the program during the 2027-28 financial year.

The initiative reflects the Punjab government’s growing use of social media to address public health and population-related challenges.

Through the campaign, influencers will create and share content designed to improve awareness about family planning services and encourage informed decision-making among families.
